Fuseboxes
Fuse box in a vehicle is typically located close to vehicle batteries and provides protected power for vehicle electrical system. Fuse box functions as a junction box for cables distributing high currents inside a vehicle. Power cable outlets are typically protected with mega- or midi fuses. Power distribution inside a fuse box is realized using bus bars or a printed circuit board.
Fuse boxes are custom designed solutions which may include smart functions in addition for being just a junction point for cables. Such smart functions can be for example balancing the state of charge (SOC) of vehicle batteries or some current measurements and diagnostics of the power lines.
